At 17:00 we, Jan-Willem and Mariëlle, welcome you on board. You will meet your fellow travellers and have time to explore the ship. After this first introduction with each other and the crew, we enjoy a shared dinner. Afterwards we will tell you all about the journey and the adventures ahead. We raise a glass to a wonderful and unforgettable week!
Day 2. A relaxed start in Tobermory
We begin the journey in a calm and relaxed way. While crossing the sheltered Sound of Mull we sail to picturesque Tobermory, famous for its colourful houses lining the harbour. In Tobermory you can choose from several beautiful short walks, or simply explore the village. Enjoy the cosy pubs and unique shops the village has to offer. It is the ideal place to ease into the adventure and discover the island at your own pace.
Day 3. Canna: An oasis of tranquillity and nature
We set course for Canna, the most remote island of the Small Isles. As we hoist the sails we keep an eye on the horizon for wildlife – perhaps dolphins playing in the bow wave or curious seals observing our ship! Canna welcomes us with green meadows, dramatic cliffs and panoramic views. We spend the night at anchor in the calm, protected waters of this pristine island, far away from the bustle of the world.
Day 4. Hiking on Canna: Nature, puffins and serenity
Today features one of the most memorable moments of the voyage: a long walk across the untouched island of Canna. We explore rugged cliffs and rolling hills, with the highlight being the impressive cliffs of Sanday where we can admire colourful puffins. Halfway through the walk we stop for a delicious lunch in nature, surrounded by spectacular scenery. A day full of peace, adventure and unforgettable beauty.
Day 5. Loch Scavaig: Adventure in the heart of Skye
Today we sail to enchanting Loch Scavaig, located at the foot of the majestic Cuillin Mountains on Skye. This impressive location offers panoramic views and an atmosphere you will not soon forget. Adventurous travellers may even take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear lake – an experience not to be missed!
Day 6. Rum: Magnificent hill walk
Today we sail to Rum, the largest island of the Small Isles, where we immerse ourselves in untouched nature and imposing mountains. After lunch we explore the island on foot, hiking through hills, clear streams and picturesque waterfalls. Along the way we may encounter red deer and majestic sea eagles. Rum enchants with its rugged beauty and serene silence – a perfect place to experience nature at its finest.
Day 7. Eigg: Hiking to the summit of An Sgurr
Next we sail to the enchanting island of Eigg, one of the Small Isles, where the impressive rock formation of An Sgurr dominates the landscape. This unique peak, formed by an ancient lava flow, offers spectacular views over the other Small Isles, Skye and Ardnamurchan. For those who take on the challenge, there is a hike to the summit, including some steep sections rewarded with breathtaking panoramas. Afterwards you can relax in the cosy local pub. A day full of adventure, nature and unforgettable views.
Day 8. Muck: Drop in the Ocean
We visit Muck, the smallest island of the Small Isles, known for its rolling fields, quiet sandy beaches and rugged coastline. After a relaxing walk through the beautiful landscape we visit the tearoom to enjoy delicious homemade cakes. We spend the night at anchor in a picturesque bay surrounded by curious seals and white sandy beaches – a perfect end to the day.
