Day-to-day programme – Highlights of the guided walks
Day 1: Boarding in Oban & sailing to Loch na Droma Buidhe
- Boarding: 13:30 in Oban
- Sailing: Through the scenic Sound of Mull
- Overnight stay: At anchor in Loch na Droma Buidhe
Relax on board as we sail through stunning waters, enjoy the scenery and experience your first evening in the Hebrides.
Day 2: Guided hike on Eigg – An Sgùrr & panoramic views
- Morning: Sailing to Eigg
- Hike distance: 8 km / level 3 (challenging hike)
- Duration: approx. 3–4 hours
Climb the iconic An Sgùrr, the island’s highest peak, for breathtaking 360° views over the Small Isles, Rum, Muck and Skye. A true highlight for photography and nature lovers.
Day 3: Guided hike on Muck – hidden gems & quiet beaches
- Morning: Sailing to Muck
- Hike distance: 7 km / level 2 (moderate hill walk)
- Duration: approx. 3 hours
Walk along peaceful beaches, rolling fields and coastal paths. Optional stop at a local tearoom for refreshments and a glimpse of island life.
Day 4: Tobermory – colourful harbour town
- Morning: Sailing to Tobermory
Explore the lively waterfront, visit charming shops and enjoy cosy pubs. A more relaxed day after several active hikes, with plenty of time to soak up the colourful charm of Mull’s capital.
Day 5: Duart Castle & sailing to Kerrera
- Morning: Sailing to Duart Castle
- Lunch stop & visit: Explore this iconic 13th-century castle, the ancestral home of Clan Maclean, spectacularly located above the Sound of Mull. Learn about its history, enjoy stunning coastal views and take unforgettable photos.
- Late afternoon: Sailing to Kerrera
Day 6: Guided walk on Kerrera – Gylen Castle circular walk
- Walking distance: 11 km / level 2 (relaxed coastal walk)
- Duration: approx. 4–5 hours
Enjoy a beautiful guided coastal walk with sweeping views over Oban Bay. In the evening, we celebrate the journey with a festive Captain’s Dinner on board.
Day 7: Farewell in Oban
- Morning: Final sailing leg back to Oban
- Disembarkation: 09:00
