Day-to-day programme – highlights of the guided hikes
Day 1 – On board in Oban & sailing to Loch na Droma Buidhe
Boarding at 13:30 in Oban, followed by a scenic sail through the Sound of Mull. Overnight at anchor in Loch na Droma Buidhe.
Day 2 – Sailing to Canna – wildlife & tranquillity
We sail to Canna, with a chance to spot dolphins and seals along the way. Upon arrival, we enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Day 3 – Guided hike on Canna – puffins & cliffs
Distance: 15 km / 4 hours / level 2 (moderate hike)
Explore rugged cliffs, rolling hills and the Sanday cliffs, home to puffins and other seabirds. Picnic in an untouched landscape.
Afternoon: Sailing to Rum.
Day 4 – Guided hike on Rum – wild hills & wildlife
Distance: 10 km / 4 hours / level 2 (moderate hill walk)
Walk along streams, waterfalls and rugged hills. Spot red deer and sea eagles.
Afternoon: Sailing to Skye.
Day 5 – Guided hike on Skye – Loch Scavaig & Cuillin Mountains
Distance: 7 km / 3–4 hours / level 2 (moderate hike)
Walk around Loch Corusk beneath the dramatic Cuillin Mountains. Optional swim in crystal-clear water.
Afternoon: Sailing to Eigg.
Day 6 – Guided hike on Eigg – An Sgurr & panoramic views
Distance: 8 km / 3–4 hours / level 3 (moderate to challenging hike)
Climb the iconic An Sgurr for 360° views over the Small Isles and Skye.
Afternoon: Sailing to Muck.
Day 7 – Guided hike on Muck – hidden spots & quiet coasts
Distance: 7 km / 3 hours / level 2 (moderate hike)
Walk along quiet beaches, rolling fields and coastal paths. Optional stop at a local tearoom.
Afternoon: Sailing to Tobermory.
Day 8 – Tobermory – colourful harbour town
Discover the colourful waterfront, cosy shops and pubs. A relaxed day after several hikes.
Afternoon: Sailing to Loch Aline or Duart Bay for a visit to Mull’s castle.
Day 9 – Guided hike on Kerrera – coastal walk
Distance: 16 km / 4–5 hours / level 2 (moderate hike)
Best for last! Our favourite walk on Kerrera. Enjoy a scenic hike with stunning views over Oban Bay. In the evening we celebrate with a festive Captain’s Dinner on board.
Day 10 – Departure in Oban
Final sail to Oban. Disembarkation at 09:00, with unforgettable memories of your Sail & Walk adventure.
